Careers in Psychiatry 2019
Our free Careers in Psychiatry events for Medical Students, Interns and NCHDs will take place Autumn 2019, in three locations around Ireland.
The careers days are aimed at medical students or graduates who may be considering applying for specialist training in Psychiatry, or who would simply like to find out more about what a career in Psychiatry in Ireland entails.
Dates for Careers Days 2019:
- Cork – Thursday, 22nd August (Full day – View Programme)
- Dublin – Friday, 23rd August (Full day – View Programme)
- Galway – Tuesday, 12th November (Evening Programme)
Our careers days provide participants with the opportunity to hear directly from experienced Consultant and Trainee Psychiatrists, working in a variety of sub-specialty areas including General Adult, Child and Adolescent, Old Age and Liaison Psychiatry. Attendees will also have the chance to visit a local clinical site, take part in interactive discussion around the arts, and will also be provided with up-to-date, practical information about applying for, and undertaking, the Basic Specialist Training scheme in Psychiatry.
In addition, there will be ample opportunity to informally meet and chat with current Trainees in Psychiatry, Specialist Consultants in the field as well as your fellow Medical Students, Interns and NCHDs.
All events are completely free to attend with course materials and lunch/refreshments provided.
