Basic Specialist Training (BST) Clinical Examination – Open

College of Psychiatrists of Ireland Clinical Exam

The Summer 2023 BST Clinical Examination will take place on FRIDAY, 19th May (CFME) online and FRIDAY, 26th May (OSCE) in-person at RCSI, 26 York Street Dublin 2.  Applications will be accepted from 12:00 noon on Friday, 3rd February 2023.

You can apply online for the Summer Exam by clicking the link below. The closing date for applications is 5:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, 17th FEBRUARY.

If the number of applications exceeds the exam places we can offer for the Summer 2023 sitting, places will be prioritised.  Applicants will be updated on their exam application status before the end of February.   The College is introducing a third exam sitting per year to cater for the potential increase in candidate numbers.

*The online examination application system will be down for essential maintenance on Wednesday 8th February 2023 from 8am to 6pm.  

NOTE: We do not accept paper applications

Exams Dates: Friday 19th & Friday 26th May 2023

The curriculum and syllabus for this clinical exam will be the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland Curriculum and Syllabus and is the same as for the continuous assessment process.
