Incorporating content on: the neuroscience of neurodiversity; its origins in a sociological framework; social movements relating to neurodiversity; strategies to support students and research informing student accomodations /assistance protocols in higher education. Inclusivity within the workplace and how best to embed this in practice will be explored in detail. The role of assistive technology in the education and employment sector will be highlighted through presentations and panel discussions.
Given the prevalence of conditions which fall within the neurodiversity framework and their intersection with mental health, up to date knowledge on this topic is important to psychiatrists interested in this evolving field.
